Pastor Bob B. Buda
April 23, 1923 - October 13, 2013

Bob Burton Buda

A full life lived well serving others. Pastor Bob Buda, 90, left his body on October 13, 2013 and entered into heavens glory. Here, from a letter Bob recently wrote, is a message for you:

“Here is a personal deal I want to share with you: This is John 3:16 in the Bible, “For God so loved the world (including Bob) that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever (Bob) believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish (in Hell) but have everlasting life” (Bob has it). Only 25 words in that verse and the very middle one is Son. There are 12 words before and 12 words after Son. He is the most important One. God bless you if you can put your name in there also!!

In Him, Bob.”

Bob was born April 23, 1923 to Wallace and Florence Buda in Farmer, Ohio. He graduated from Bryan High School in Bryan, Ohio 1942. He volunteered for the Navy but could not serve due to a medical condition. He went back home and helped his parents work the farm. While working the farm a local Mennonite couple held a youth Bible study. One week the group decided to go hear an evangelist preach. At the meeting it all came together for Bob, he went forward, repented of his sin, turned to Christ asking Christ to save him, and he was gloriously saved.

He felt God’s call to preach the gospel that he had accepted so went off to Bible school. After graduating from Moody Bible institute in 1949, Bob married the former Pauline Huck of Brighton, Illinois and went on to pastor Baptist churches for over 30 years.

Churches in which Bob pastored:

·        Bethel Baptist Church, Bartonville, Illinois

·        Bible Baptist Church, Russell, Kansas

·        Bible Baptist Church, Dunlap Iowa

·        Knoxville Regular Baptist Church, Knoxville, Iowa

Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years and sons: Daniel 61, David 55, and Mark 50; his sister Anna Buda of Bryan, OH; his grandchildren: Brian, Nathan, Matthew, Joshua, Megan, Austin, Jacob; and his one great granddaughter Ellise. Bob’s two brothers Charles and Ned preceded him.
