Sharon Diane Fitzpatrick
March 14, 1945 - June 21, 2013

Age 68, of West Allis, succumbed to cancer on Friday, June 21, 2013. 1964 high school graduate of West Allis Nathan Hale. Survived by her beloved, caring, devoted, brother, Gregg H. Fitzpatrick; her special "step brother Eddie" Edwin E. Carver; aunts Florence Zingler and MaryAnn Zingler. She will be greatly missed by her dearest friends Gary and Kay Carver. Further survived by numerous first, second and third cousins. Special acknowledgement to my wonderful friend of 40 years, Mrs. Dale Kaiser, and my loving neighbor of 26 years, Mrs. Bernice Costello, and to neighbor Carol Hudy for her friendship and all the thoughtful things she did. Finally a hug and kiss to Marvin Zingler, Jr. for all the hand holding, words of kindness and loving visits. Preceded in death by her parents Howard J. and Ruth E. Fitzpatrick; grandparents Herbert W. and Lillian A. Zingler, Rose B. Fitzpatrick. Sharon is additionally preceded in death by aunts and uncles that include Thomas and Sophie Fitzpatrick, Catherine Fitzpatrick, Ora and Chester Rush, Herbert Zingler, Jr. and Marvin Zingler Sr. Also her precious feline friend, Muffin. They ate, talked, slept and played together for 17 wonderful years.

Sharon had a true thirst for knowledge. She attended M.A.T.C. and UWM-Extension for a number of years and achieved credits in a wide variety of subjects. She worked for a number of businesses, such as Smith Supply Company, Arlans and Treasure Island Stores. Sharon worked at Community Newspapers Inc., This Week Publications as a tear sheet clerk and collections. Prior to that she was a quality control worker for 13 years with Safety Kleen Corporation. A restaurant manager for 3 years with Marc's Kentucky Fried Chicken, and 7 years with the Civil Service Commission of Milwaukee County as a welfare eligibility worker. Thank you to my godparents aunt Florence and the late uncle Herbert, who stood by me, even into my adulthood who were there on a stand-by basis. Special thanks to my various doctors, nurses, caregivers and facilities who attended Sharon's needs. Sharon was a life long member of the former Friedens United Church of Christ on N. 13th and W. Juneau Ave.

Visitation to be held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, on Wed., June 26, 2013 from 4-7 PM, and Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Pinelawn Memorial Park Chapel from 1 PM until the time of service at 3 PM. Thank you to Reverend William Utke of Emanuel United Church of Christ, Hales Corners. Per Sharon's orders, casual attired permitted, but no blue jeans or tennis shoes. Donations if you wish to any cat shelter, or memorials to Pinelawn Memorial Park in memory of Sharon.
