Entered into God's loving arms on April 17, 2013, at the age of 73. Cherished husband of 50 1/2 years to Judy. Loving father of Catherine & Michael Peters and Susan Wargull and her fiance, Tony. Beloved Papa of Victoria, Tessa, CJ, Bella, Meghan and Allison. Dear Brother of Sylvia Wardynski, Richard & Danielle Sternke and Carol & Greg Moore. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and treasured friends. Larry was born on Nov 1, 1939 and grew up on a small family farm in Lublin, WI. He was proud to be the first in his family to attend college; receiving his bachelors from UW-Eau Claire and his Masters in Social Work from UW- Milwaukee. He raised his family in Brookfield, WI and retired to Beaver Dam, WI 10 years ago. Above all, Larry will be remembered for his absolute dedication to helping others.  He saw the good in everyone and valued kindness and compassion over all. He touched countless lives during his 6 years as a probation officer in Milwaukee, 30 years as a social worker in Greenfield Schools plus 10 years as an assistant at Schmidt & Bartelt. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have known Larry are truly blessed and our lives are richer for it. He will be deeply missed and held joyfully forever in our hearts. 

Visitation to be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Funeral Home from 11AM until the time of service at 2 PM.  Burial to be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11 AM at WI Memorial Park.  Please meet in the green parking area.  If so desired, please send memorials to the Salvation Army (an organization he worked with and practiced what he preached) and/or any random act of kindness in your community are appreciated.
