Beloved wife of the late Reinhold “Reiny”. Stepmother of Robert (Nancy) Conrady, the late Richard (Barbara) Conrady, and Audrian (Larry) Honzel. Preceded in death by her brothers Walter Lucht, Robert Lucht, Walter Luebke, Ervin Luebke and her sisters Naomi Lucht, Laverne Peterson, Evelyn Ciesielski, Irene Riley and Hazel Williams. Dear sister of Ramon (the late Catherine) Lucht of Waukesha, William (Joyce) Luebke of Mukwonago, Karen (Bob) Merryfield of Illinois, Marie (the late Dave) Van Huis, and Carol (the late Paul) Wegner of Mukwonago. She will also be missed by grandchildren, great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Arlene was born at the family farm in Tess Corners, on January 28, 1931. She attended elementary school in Tess Corners and attended Mukwonago High School at Washington Avenue School. She was her class Salutatorian. She was married to Reinhold Conrady, on February 16, 1963 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mukwonago. Arlene and Reinhold lived on “the Jesuit Island” on Lake Beulah until the time of Reinhold’s passing. She then moved to the village of Mukwonago. She was employed for forty years as a supervisor for the State of Wisconsin Unemployment Compensation Division; she retired from there in 1989. As a long time resident of Mukwonago, Arlene was active in her community. She was a long time member of the Kiwanis, helping to spearhead Maxwell Street Days functions for the last 25 years. She was a very active member of her church, St. John’s Lutheran, where she sang in the choir every Sunday. She enjoyed attending family functions for the holidays, birthdays, or just to get together for a meal. She enjoyed keeping in contact with friends, always checking in to see how they were doing or scheduling time to meet for coffee or lunch. Arlene was shocked on her 80th birthday when she was given a surprise birthday party by her family, at The Cotton Exchange. She was very excited and moved to tears to see so many faces of family members from out of town and local family also.  She enjoyed sharing memories of her childhood and growing up with her many brothers and sisters, along with memories of Reiny and past family gatherings with her many nieces and nephews. Arlene enjoyed reading and listening to music. She was a huge fan of Daniel O’Donnell, collecting his music and DVD’s. She took trips with friends to see him in Branson and was elated to have the chance to meet and get a picture with him. She was known for her giving nature and great trust in God. Her laughter, smile, unwavering ability to listen, and supportive guidance will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
