Dorothy Frances "Dot" Solberg
October 10, 1926 - January 29, 2012

Solberg , Dorothy Frances "Dot" (nee Seiler). Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Also known as The Dot, Chico, Dotski, and G Dot. Survived by her sons, William (Margaret) Solberg, Robert (Janis) Solberg, James (Kathleen) Solberg; her daughter-in-law, Susanna Solberg; and her brother, Harold Seiler. Dot was a grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of six and she loved each of them a great deal. Preceded in death by her husband William R. Solberg, son Thomas Solberg, parents, sisters and numerous family and friends.

Dot was a Marquette University graduate, a Marquette basketball fan, and a serious Green Bay Packer fan.

She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Joseph Parish in Wauwatosa from its founding days. She was president of St. Joe’s Christian Women Society and a big part of St. Joe’s Rummage Sale. She greatly enjoyed her roles in various St. Joe’s plays and musicals, serving as an esteemed producer. She was friend of many priests and sisters and enjoyed their spirit and camaraderie.

She was patient with her many chronic diseases, overcoming profound hearing loss and dealing with many years of rheumatoid arthritis. She was uniquely fond of silly hats and whimsical clowns.

Special thanks for compassionate care by Dr. Haughey and the staff of St. Anne’s Home Providence Court.
