Snortum, Daniel was taken home with Jesus on Dec 21, 2009 after a 3 year battle with rectal-colon cancer. He is preceded in death by his daughter Angela Chubeck, his father, Oscar Snortum, and sister-in-law, Kathee Snortum. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 40 yrs, Denise Snortum (nee Dorn), his granddaughters, Alexandria Chubeck and Vanessa Chubeck, and their dad and special friend, Michael Chubeck. His mother, Eva Snortum, brother, Dave (Kim) Snortum, sister-in-law, Laurie (Hank) Embleton of Tucson, AZ, Brother-in-law, Mike Dorn of Kingman, AZ., and sister-in-law, Jessie (Ken) Pelt. Special nephew, Peter Dorn, Brian Snortum, Kayla Snortum, Jolene (Mike) Berringer, Mariah, Faydra, Katie, Adam, Jordon, Gabe and Haley Embleton. There are many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss him. The wonderful Church family at FAC, the great friends at Latitudes Coffee Shop where Dan spent most of his fun time, and a very special friend and angel, Bruce Elder for always being there. Dan was retired from Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewage Dist after 34 yrs of service. He also was a Vietnam Vet, serving in the US Army. He was very proud to have served his country. The family would like to thank the Horizon Hospice Staff for their special care and friendship during Dan's illness, Jessica, Chris and Fletch. Thank You! Dan had a very strong faith and belief in salvation and spending eternity in Heaven. We know he is there now resting in the arms of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated. There will be a visitation at First Alliance Church (W156 N10041 Pilgrim Rd. Germantown) on Sat, Jan 2, 2010 from 12:30 pm until the time of services at 3:30 pm. Full Military Honors will be held at 3:00 pm at the church. Luncheon to follow the funeral service at the church.
