Louise J. DeMarco (née Faltynski), of Mequon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2026, at the age of 82. A woman of deep faith, extraordinary creativity, and fierce devotion to the people she loved, Louise brought beauty, generosity, and a distinct sense of occasion to the lives of her family and friends.

Louise was born on August 24, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to Helen and Chester Faltynski. She graduated from Libertyville High School in 1962 and later attended Mundelein College in Chicago, where she earned a degree in Speech Therapy.

Louise’s faith was steadfast and central to her life. She was deeply devoted to her family, generous with her many dear friends, and always willing to give her time and talents to others. Throughout her life, she embraced many roles, including first-grade teacher, shop owner, fundraiser, and active member of her parish community. She chaired fundraisers at St. Joan Antida and approached her service to others with energy, determination, and heart.

Creativity was woven through nearly everything Louise did. Her creativity was perhaps most meaningful when she shared it with her family. She delighted in having her grandchildren perform holiday plays and took great joy in creating traditions, celebrations, and memories they will carry with them throughout their lives.

Louise also loved art and travel. She found inspiration and joy in exploring the world, with Paris and Italy holding particularly special places in her heart.

Above all, Louise cherished her family, her faith, and her friendships. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a remarkable ability to make life more beautiful and memorable for the people around her.

Louise is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mike; her sons, Michael (Leah), Christopher (Jill), and David (Tiffany); her daughter-in-law, Kelly; her sister, Nancy Armitage (Dale Krainer); her brother, Eric Michaels (Maxine Rumsey Michaels); her ten beloved grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy.

Louise’s love will live on in her family, in the traditions she created, in the friendships she nurtured, and in the countless memories she made more beautiful simply by being herself.
