Age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026 with her husband of 40 years, Duane Mittag, at her side along with family members.

Laura grew up in Sussex, WI. She attended Sussex Hamiton High School, class of 1978. She later attended Ottawa University. Laura spent her working years at Badger State Mutual, Milwaukee Valve, Rite-Hite, Greenbrier & Russel, Dickten Masch, and Goodwill. She enjoyed many happy retirement years with her husband Duane, her siblings and many friends. Laura was a member of Peace Lutheran Sewing circle where she helped make blankets for charity.

Laura and her family want to give a special thank you to Dr. Goggins and the Aurora Cancer Care Team.

A private celebration of Laura’s life will be held at a later date.
