90, of Oconomowoc Wisconsin, passed away on August 6^th 2026, peacefully at Shorehaven in Oconomowoc.

Jo is survived by her husband Gordon Zimmerman of 70 years, as well as niece’s Kathy Nawrocki (James), Pam Schulz, Valerie Stuermer-Walker (Robert) and nephews Randall Schulz (Denise), Duane Stuermer, Daryl Stuermer (late Michaela). She was preceded in death by her parents Reinhardt and Lizetta Schulz, brother Kenneth Schulz, sisters Arlene Stuermer and Doris Schmekel.

Joan worked as a school librarian in Dousman and was known for her passion and talent for gardening as well as her love for animals and her pets.  She and Gordy enjoyed participating in local square dancing and active members of the Oconomowoc Senior Center.

Memorial service to be held at Dr. Martin Luther Church of Oconomowoc on Sunday August 23^rd, 2026.  Visitation at 12:30, services 1:30 pm.
