Age 93, passed away on August 5, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1933, in York, Maine, and was a longtime resident of Menomonee Falls before most recently making his home in Germantown.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Trafton (née Vollriede); his son, Michael Trafton; his daughter, Deborah Trafton; his parents, Caroll and Elizabeth Trafton; and his siblings, Burke Trafton, Wayne Trafton, and Marilyn Small.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Dale (Cindy) Trafton, Allan (Julie) Trafton, Karen Maynard, and Keith (Sherie) Trafton; his daughter-in-law, Laurie Trafton; his siblings, Ethel “Eppie” Demchak and Garry Trafton; and his longtime partner, Char Runkel, along with her sister, Elaine Runkel. He was the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren, with one more eagerly anticipated.

Norman was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He dedicated many years of service to American Motors Corporation and later Chrysler. He was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those he loved. He cherished traveling back to his childhood home in Maine, spending summers at the family cabin up north, and enjoying winters in Arizona during retirement. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Milwaukee Brewers and had a lifelong passion for investing.

Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted family man whose love, guidance, and steady presence touched generations. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Living Hope Presbyterian Church in Menomonee Falls (W156N4881 Pilgrim Rd., part of Dickson Hollow) on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:30am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30am. Entombment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
