Born in Milwaukee, WI on December 18, 1934 and passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026. Jean had many blessings: she was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and loyal friend. She was known for her love of bridge, martinis, tennis and later in life, pickleball. Jean was an avid gardener and grew a beautiful garden wherever she lived in WI, FL, or VA.

She graduated from St Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN in 1956. Jean worked as a Home Economics teacher in the Milwaukee Public School system until she married in 1971. She was a dedicated volunteer to the Milwaukee chapter of the Christ Child Society, Dominican HS resale shop and a docent at the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John A. Schloegel. She is the loving mother to Richard, Kathryn, Thomas (Erika), John, Daniel, and Jeanne (Tad); fondest grandmother of Colin, Ross, Daniel, Shannon, Michaela, Jackson, Sam, Solange, Sarah, Patrick, Nora, Will, Jacob, Madison, Noah, and Hannah; and great grandmother to Livy.

Together with John, she created many treasured memories for her children and grandchildren.

Visitation on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W. Mequon Road, Mequon from 10 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.  Private family burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.   Memorials may be sent to Lumen Christi Parish or the Ashby Ponds Benevolent Care Fund, 21170 Ashby Ponds BLVD, Ashburn, VA 20147 or a charity of your choice in her memory.
