Gordon D. Hahm
April 25, 1944 - May 12, 2026

Gordon was called Home to be with Jesus on May 12, 2026 at the age of 82 years. He was the beloved husband of Eldona for 60 years and loving father of Eric (Carole), Mark and Julie. He was honored to be the dear granddad of Katie (Colin) Zent and Aimee (Nick) Mack and great granddad of Shealyn, Layla and Elizabeth. His siblings include Bonnie Weber, Diane Bonin and Dawn (Roy Carlson). He is further survived by his brother-in-law Ron (Cindy) Pingel and other relatives and friends.

Gordon’s loves were his Lord, his wife, and his family. Especially dear to him were his two granddaughters and three great granddaughters.

Gordon took joy in seeing each new day arrive with Eldona at his side. His life’s calling was working in vegetable production in the business established by his father and grandfather Hahm. He began the role as a youngster and continued after his graduation from UW-Madison in 1966. The farm was in business until the late 1990s. After that, he enjoyed working for other local growers, including most recently, the Barthel Fruit Farm.

All who knew Gordon well, knew of his life-long fascination with trains – spending many hours photographing them in the Milwaukee area and in places as far-flung as California, Colorado, Wyoming and anywhere in between. His huge basement model train layout was a source of pride and hours of enjoyment – his railroad kingdom.

Service to Beautiful Savior Lutheran church was very important to him. He and Eldona became members in 1966 and he served many years as an usher and a church Elder.

Gordon loved his family intensely and we will miss that love. God has planned this life for our family and His love and our memories will sustain us all.

Special thanks go to our friends, extended family, Pastor Mike Stein, Pastor Phil Hillenbrand, our Parish Nurse, Deb Hammen, the North Shore emergency squad, medical staff at Columbia, St. Mary’s and Horizon Hospice staff.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 11313 N. Riverland Road, Mequon from 10 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. After the Service all are invited for refreshments in the fellowship hall and to have time to talk to the Hahm family. In the spirit of celebration of Gordon’s life, we encourage all to feel free to dress casually in business attire, colorful and comfortable. Following a time of fellowship, a private family burial is planned for the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (Mequon) or to the Concordia University Wisconsin Hesed Transition Program.
