Timothy “Tim” Edward McGrath passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 23, 2026.

Tim was born on January 10, 1957, in Hartford, Wisconsin, to James and Margaret McGrath (Griesmer) of Stone Bank. He grew up on his family’s dairy farm where he learned the value of hard work and he carried that with him throughout his life. His passion in life was driving semi, dirt bikes, four wheelers or as he said “if it doesn’t have a motor, I’m not getting on it”.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna, his children, Matthew, Samantha (Scott) Giesie, and Rachael (JP) Dudley; his cherished grandsons, Dawson McGrath and Owen Giesie; his Mother In Law, Sandy Winkelman and his siblings, Tom, John, Shirley, and Rob. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Margaret McGrath, Father In Law, William Winkelman, his brother, James McGrath, his sister in law, Diane Massick and his brother in law, Joe Schumitsch. 

Tim will be remembered for his easygoing spirit, his generosity and lending help to even strangers in times of need. He lived each day like it was his last, giving everything he had to its fullest.  He enjoyed the simple joys that life offered and loved sharing a Captain and Coke, or a Heineken, along with a good joke or two. He lived by his motto “keep on truckin”. His generosity towards all, especially those closest to him will be fondly missed. Above all, he will be remembered for his deep love for his family and the time he spent with those closest to him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church N50W35181 Wisconsin Ave. Okauchee, with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. In honor of Tim’s personality and spirit, the family kindly asks that attendees wear Hawaiian shirts. There will be a luncheon following to celebrate his life at The Maple Inn in Old Ashippun. 

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
