Kathleen A. “Kathy” Peters (nee McCord)

Was born into eternal life on April 21, 2026 at the age of 74.  She is survived by her family Selena McCord, Nevaeh, Kaya (Ty) and their son Rowan, Gianna and Trevor McCord, David, Barbara, and Tarrah Johnson, and her neighbor and friend Warren Winkler.  She is further survived by many other family and friends.  She was preceded by her husband Michael Peters, her parents William and Agnes McCord, and sisters Susan McCord and Jeanne McCord.

Kathleen was a very active member at St. James Catholic Parish and a woman whose life reflected her devotion to God and her commitment to serving others. A pillar of faith, she generously gave her time and heart as the head of the Council of Catholic Women, Rosary groups, Funeral Ministry, Bakery Booth coordinator and various spiritual gatherings. She was especially fond of the Advent by Candlelight Event that she initiated. Through her leadership, she brought comfort, strength, and inspiration to many, guiding others in prayer and nurturing a strong sense of community. Her faith was the foundation of her life, evident not only in her service but in the kindness, compassion, and strength she shared with everyone she met. Kathleen had a gift for making others feel welcome and supported, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May she rest in the peace of Christ she so faithfully served.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at St. James The Less Catholic Church (830 E. Veteran’s Way, Mukwonago) from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12:00 NOON.

Kathleen had written these words that she wanted to share with everyone “I am a woman of faith.  I have tried to live my life as my faith and church had directed me.  Don’t be sad for me, it is the goal of every Christian to see the face of God.  Be happy for me.”
