She came to the United States in late 1969 and was embraced by the Cizinsky family in her new country. She proudly became a US citizen in 1974, eventually settling in the Mequon-Thiensville area as a longtime resident.

She was dedicated to her Catholic faith as a parishioner at Lumen Christi (Mequon), and previously with St. Cecilia parish (Thiensville).

She was a committed employee of Ozaukee County Department of Social Services. After 37 years of service, she retired in 2009 as the Business Manager.

Outside of work, she was a 15-year member of the Mequon auxiliary police. She volunteered her time with mission trips to Guatemala, as a Salvation Army bell ringer and as member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Lil lived a life authentically her own. She was independent, smart, dependable, and confident. She had a positive outlook on life, was compassionate in helping others and generous with compliments.

She enjoyed walking & working out, dancing, music, taking trips and the beauty of nature. Most of all she loved her family with all her heart.

Lil is survived by her children, Catherine (Joe) Obert and Jason (Jen) Cizinsky; her grandchildren, Jordan (Michelle) Obert, Nathan Obert, Jacob Cizinsky and Oliva Cizinsky. She is further survived by her younger sister, Levinia “Bee” Espinas, other relatives and friends. And was preceded in death by her older sister Leticia (Espinas) Aquino.
