Bruce retired from NML Insurance Company in 2001 after a long and dedicated career. He was deeply involved in his community, serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 139 in Hubertus, Wisconsin, where he mentored young men and helped guide his son and other scouts on their path to becoming Eagle Scouts.
A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Bruce enjoyed athletics in his younger years, including baseball, football, and swimming. In retirement, he found joy and peace at his summer cottage in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, where he spent his days fishing, hiking wooded trails, and entertaining family and friends. Deer season and time at the hunting cottage with his sons and grandchildren were among his most treasured traditions.
Bruce will be remembered as a baseball coach, a skilled “fix-it” man, an avid fisherman, and an artist at heart. He enjoyed bowling, poker, and sharing stories with those he loved. Above all, he was a proud family man whose quiet strength, guidance, and love will live on in those who knew him.
