Lawrence "Larry" John Puhl, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 12, 2026. He was 75 years old.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Mary; daughter Kelly; stepchildren Erin and Kevin; grandchildren; Alexis, Zachary, Janae, and Justin; and great grandchildren Bennie James and Blanche. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Carolyn (Bob) Fox, Nancy Puhl, and Janice (Ralph) Pryzbylski.
Larry was born in Milwaukee to parents John and Marjorie (nee Niles) Puhl. He graduated from Hamilton High School and then attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he finished and received his business degree.
A large portion of Larry’s working years were spent as part owner and manager of the family’s hardware business in Greendale, WI. During this time, he was very active in the Business Association of Greendale, and equally active in the Greendale Jaycee’s. After some time, he decided on a different career path, and worked as an outside lineman for AT&T for a number of years before retiring in 2017. A testament to Larry’s strong work ethic, he then worked for Menard’s until he suffered a stroke in September of 2024.
Larry’s passions were bird hunting, fishing, golf, and camping. Many fond memories were made with a close knit group of friends that he enjoyed doing these things with.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11AM, followed by a short memorial service at NOON at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago (930 Main St).
