Anthony H. Ostry, age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his home in Germantown.
Born on January 11, 1943, Tony lived a life rooted in faith, service, and quiet creativity. Tony proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. After his military service he managed Stones Jewelry Store at Bayshore Mall for many years, known for his honesty, kindness, and the calm way he helped people choose treasures for life’s biggest moments.
In 1981 he married the love of his life, Vicky, and for over 44 years they shared a marriage of commitment, wonderful memories, and unwavering faith in GOD our Savior.
Tony was the heart of his family: beloved husband to Vicky; proud father of four children: Matthew Ostry (Kris); Andrew Ostry (Stacey); Heather LaBonte (David); and, Matthew Rountree. He reveled in his role as “Papa” to seven grandchildren, who filled his days with love, laughter, and many hand-drawn pictures on the refrigerator.
Tony’s greatest passion, outside of his family, was teaching the Bible at Northwest Baptist Church. For decades his clear, warm, and loving teaching touched countless lives and helped many grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.
A gifted artist as well, Tony found joy in watercolor painting and printmaking from his home studio. He especially enjoyed auditing the art classes he took at Wisconsin Lutheran College, where he continued learning and creating well into his later years.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Lake Drive Baptist Church, 8777 N Lake Dr., Bayside, WI. Military honors will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, Tony’s wish is simple and straight from his heart: please take your family to church next Sunday. That would mean more to him than any bouquet ever could.
Well done, good and faithful servant. Rest easy, Papa. We’ll see you when we get Home.
