Larry Thomas Lowe, 82, of Winter Garden, Florida passed away suddenly at his home on November 4, 2025 with his wife by his side.
Larry was born on March 10, 1943 in Lovington, Illinois. He is the son of Beatty and Helen (Reed) Lowe.
He attended Lovington Schools all 12 years and graduated from Eastern Illinois University. He was a member of the US Army stationed at the Pentagon. He spent his working career as an accountant with IBM and Lockheed Martin.
He was a hardworking man and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed reading books, golfing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Caeden.
He showed a true interest in everyone he met from the cashier at the grocery store to his physical therapy team. At the family reunions, he always spent time with the younger generation talking to them and advising them. He was a two-time cancer survivor. He was loved by all and will be truly missed. He always said he wanted to be remembered by, “I did my best.”
Besides his loving wife Connie, of 61 years, he is survived by his son, Ryan (Maya) of Winter Garden, Florida and Bangkok, Thailand and grandson, Caeden Thomas Lowe, daughter-in-law Karen Lowe, step-grandchildren Amanda (Jared) Christopherson and Brandon Sternig and step-great-grandchildren Ava and Jack. He is further survived by his brother-in-law Gary Henneberry, and sisters-in-law Diane Kincaid, and Candace (Vasile) Vezendan and many nieces and nephews including Alan Hinton (Marjorie) and Jesse (Donna) Hinton. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Thomas Lowe, parents, Helen and Beatty Lowe, his sister, Joanne Hinton and her husband, Ted Hinton, brothers-in-law Jerry Henneberry, Roger Henneberry and his wife, Babe, Joseph Kincaid and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Betz and her husband, Herb Betz and Vicki Henneberry, and nephew Ronnie Hinton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at St. Thomas Aquanius Catholic Church (305 S. 1st St. Waterford) from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Private family burial will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made for Caeden’s future care.
