With sadness, we announce that Rose Jeanette Enea (née Basile) passed peacefully on October 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born to Niccolo and Antoinette Basile, Rose grew up in a home filled with faith and strong family values — qualities she carried throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell J. Enea; her parents Niccolo and Antoinette Basile; her brothers Albert (Karen) Basile, Nunzio (Nancy) Basile and Mike (Cathy) Basile; and her sister Anna (Jim) Bruske.

Rose is survived by her devoted children: Jack (Pam) Enea, Nick (Tammy) Enea and Tony (Theresa) Enea. She was the proud grandmother (Nana) of Zachary, Sam, Dominic, Joey, Sofia, Nina (Thomas) Biegler, Russell, Nicholas, Caitlin Zolet, Daniel (Alicia) Zolet, and John Zolet. She is further survived by her sister Josephine (Victor) Clark, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family was at the heart of Rose’s life -- her strength and kindness shaped generations.  She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her unwavering faith, and the countless ways she made others feel welcomed and cared for.  Her spiedini’s during the holidays and Sunday basta and meatballs are legendary, and those recipes are family heirlooms.

Visitation will be held at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 N. Port Washington Rd, Mequon from 4-7pm on Tuesday November 4th, 2025.

The family thanks Story Point, Mequon for their care of Rose. The family also would like to give a special thank you to Maura West, a friend and caregiver who made a difference in Rose’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital in Rose’s memory.
