November 24, 1935 - October 15, 2025

Robert Checker of Menomonee Falls passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 15th, 2025, at the age of 89. Robert is survived by his loving wife Susan (nee Ugloi), three children; Jenny J. (Corey) Scholtka, John Robert (Jen) Checker, Jodi (Mario) Nudi, six grandchildren; Phoebe and Lilly Scholtka, Domenica (Trevor) Germait, Danielle (Artavien) Terry, Madison and Emma Checker, and two great grandchildren; Azriel and Talia Terry. Robert is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his three brothers and four sisters.

Bob was a proud veteran who served in the Army’s Mash Unit in 1958 during the Korean War. He worked for 21 years as a General Foreman for the Tool & Die division at Johnson Controls. He was a member of the Pompei Men’s Club with the Italian Community Center for many years. He was also a member of American Legion Post #382. Bob was always full of life, had a fun sense of humor, was super social and loved his family. He was passionate about cars and enjoyed attending various car shows around the state. He loved his rum and coke, smoking his pipe or cigar, and sitting outside (especially by the pool). He stayed very active in his retirement years, sometimes working part time to stay active. He enjoyed spending time at Metro Cigar Bar. He enjoyed watching a variety of sports and could always be found in his favorite recliner with his dog, Molly, watching a game. There was always a story or joke, which made him endearing to all who met him. He was the BEST husband of 53 years, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be missed and loved always.

The funeral for Robert will be held on Saturday November 8th, 2025, at St. Francis Episcopal church (N84 W16525 Menomonee Ave. Menomonee Falls WI 53051). Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30am with entombment immediately to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
