Jon Paul Weber, 78, of Mukwonago, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 after a 7 year hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Jon was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 11, 1947 to Raymond and Rosemary Weber. Jon grew up in Greenfield, WI and worked several jobs in high school, including the first McDonalds in the Milwaukee area. He graduated from Pius XI High School in 1965, where he excelled in track. He went on to study accounting at Marquette University, where he also participated on the wrestling team, and met the love of his life, Sharon Ann Astley.
Jon graduated from Marquette in May of 1969, and within weeks married Sharon on May 30, 1969, then left for Basic Training for the Army Reserves.
When Jon returned, he was employed at the Square D Company, and later at Safway Steel Products, where he worked his way up from an accountant to Vice President and Secretary before retiring.
Jon and Sharon lived in Greenfield where they had their first two children. In 1977 Jon and Sharon built their dream house in the town of Vernon, where one year later their third child was born. Together, they raised the kids and instilled in them the values of hard work, honesty, and loyalty. Jon and Sharon moved to Mukwonago shortly after Jon was diagnosed to a house that better served their needs. Jon and Sharon enjoyed 56 wonderful years as husband and wife. They faced the good and the not so good together, and always got through them stronger than ever. Jon was the rock of the family, and will be dearly missed.
Jon coached and supported his 3 kids in all their academics and activities growing up and was their #1 fan. He continued this with his grandchildren, who he adored, often traveling several hours and out of state to watch them in their activities. Everybody knew where “Gramps” was in the stands or audience when watching his grandkids perform, whether he was running down the sidelines to celebrate a touchdown or his booming voice shouting out support during a singing performance, basketball, soccer, baseball or volleyball game, a track meet, a graduation, or anything and everything his grandkids did.
Everything Jon did, he did to make the lives of his family and friends better. Jon was never a “ME” guy – he did not do things solely for himself. He did things to make a better life for his wife, his kids, his grandkids, and his close friends.
Jon enjoyed supporting his grandkids, golfing, playing cards, watching our local sports teams, and being with close friends. Jon also was a member of the Big Bend Vernon Lions Club. Jon had a very dry sense of humor, always ready with a nickname or quick joke to lighten the mood. Jon was known for his sweet tooth. Even near the end, when he could barely finish a meal, he could take down a large turtle sundae.
Jon was predeceased by his father Ray, his mother Rosemary, and his infant daughter Kimberly.
Jon is survived by his ever-loving wife Sharon, his children Jon (Colleen), Mary (Scott) Blair, and Rebeca (Casey) Kroll, his grandchildren Jena Weber, Jake Weber, Cole Weber, Andrew Blair, Cadence Kroll, and McKenzie Blair, his brother Mike (Annette) Weber, sister in law Nancy (John) Plichta and his nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at St. James The Less Catholic Church (830 E. Veteran’s Way, Mukwonago). Visitation will be from 12:00 NOON until the time of the service.
The Weber family would like to extend its dearest thanks to all friends and people who have assisted Jon and Sharon with this battle over the past 7 years. A special thank you to Teresa, Chris, and Penelope from Tudor Oaks for their assistance over the past few weeks.
