Lucille A. “Lolly” Burkard (Nee Raher) found peace on August 8, 2025 at the age of 89.  Beloved wife of the late Clarence.  Loving mother of Brian (Cathy), Andy (Julie), Greg (Jean Ann) and Bill (Angela).  Cherished grandma of Claire (Nick) Fera, Addie (Gabe) Kapanke, Gabriel (Alex) and Rachel (the late Michael) Lemke.  Special great grandma of Emmelene and Nolan. 

Lolly grew up in Iron River, Michigan, and met Clarence at a party in Milwaukee in 1956.  They were married in 1957 and made a beautiful life together with their four boys.  They had neighborhood gatherings with friends, adventures at summer rental cottages, and winter snowmobiling trips.  Their home on the Menominee River was a special place in the north woods where they enjoyed summer gatherings with family and friends.  Lolly was always making sure everyone was well fed, hydrated, and having fun! 

Wherever Lolly was, she brought calm and happiness.  She loved being a wife and mother, and baking after-school treats for her family was certainly her special talent.  With her strong faith base, Lolly was active with her church groups, and she volunteered at school when her boys were young.  She loved lunching with friends, playing cards, boxed wine, a great book, listening to the Brewers, and going for walks.  Lolly cherished time with her grandchildren (and great-grandchildren), and everyone could feel the special love she gave! 

After Clarence passed in 1997, Richard (Dick) Moritz was a special friend and companion to Lolly, and she shared great memories with him for 25 years.  Although life handed Lolly many challenges over the years, she always faced each hurdle with the same strength and faith she had at her core.

Visitation on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2506 N Wauwatosa Ave, Wauwatosa from 10 AM until the time of Memorial Mass at 11 AM .  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Vision Forward Association appreciated.
