Of Glendale.  Entered into Eternal Life peacefully with her children by her side on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the age of 79 years, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Beloved wife for 51 years of Gregory F Jakubowski.  Loving Mother of Julie (Steve) Kuesel, Paul (Trish) Jakubowski, and Laurie (Bob) Le Moine. Dear sister of Donald (Karen) Daniel and Debbie (Gary) Singer. Proud grandmother of Ryan and Matthew Kuesel, Liam and Logan Jakubowski, Madison and Chase Polcyn, Ethan and Maria Le Moine. Preceded in death by her loving husband Greg, parents Norman and Lois (knee Klug) and her sister Diane (Wayne). Further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Darlene lived a life rich with warmth, kindness, and generosity. She cherished the simple joys of life that included painting beautiful art, traveling, fishing, playing cards with friends, spending time surrounded by the people she loved, and cultivating connections that were rich and lasting.

Family was Darlene’s most treasured possession. A devoted wife to the late Greg Jakubowski, together they created a home filled with love and strong family values, gifts they passed on to their children and grandchildren. She was a proud and deeply supportive mother, always ready with a listening ear, steady advice, and unconditional love. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she remained genuinely invested in each one and consistently offered encouragement, celebrated achievements, and always cheered them on with pride.

Darlene also had a deep and abiding faith that guided her throughout her life. Her calm presence, generous spirit, and loving heart that she gave so freely will live on in the many lives she touched and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.  Jeremiah 29:11, reflected the hope and trust she carried throughout her life: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

A private service will be held for immediate family and a celebration of Darlene’s life is tentatively planned for August 1, 2025 from 1-4pm with more details coming soon.
