Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin — LeRoy “Roy” H. Goergen passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born June 10, 1935 in Caledonia, MN to Delbert and Margaret (nee Kroack) Goergen. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marie (nee Guillien), siblings: Wilma (the late Duane) Griffin, Dale (LuAnn) Goergen, Sister Mary Goergen, and many nieces, nephews.

Roy grew up on a farm outside Caledonia, Minnesota, and graduated from Caledonia High School. He entered the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country, he joined the Protective Insurance Co. as a Sales Representative and moved to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Later he joined Walters Buildings as a salesperson helping organizations find the right buildings for their purposes – a job that he loved and at which he excelled.

Roy could be counted on to help anyone in need. He was always ready with his quick witted, dry sense of humor to lighten and brighten anyone’s day. He loved the outdoors and loved working in his yard, spending many hours planting, moving and maintaining his favorite plants- the hosta. In his earlier years he enjoyed weekend golfing and downhill skiing with friends and family. He also enjoyed travelling to see and experience new things and share in holiday celebrations large and small with Marie, family and friends. Roy loved all children, always making time to talk with them. He especially loved to tease them in jest.

A visitation will be held on July 11, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church (W220 N6588 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) from 9:00am until the memorial service, which will begin at 11:00am. Following the memorial service, there will be a military burial in the cemetery adjacent to the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. James Catholic Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
