Following her retirement, Iris continued warm and happy correspondence, visits, and luncheons with many of her former students and their parents.

Iris loved traveling and enjoyed the music, art and beauty of the USA as well as many foreign countries. Both she and her beloved husband, Bill, loved their Brandy Lake condo in the Minocqua area, and enjoyed kayaking and the daily visits of deer, eagles, blue herons, and an occasional bear. They hiked many back-woods trails. She was a loyal Packer fan, avid reader, music-lover, and enjoyed collecting antiques and art.

Following 32 years in their much-loved Highland Colony Estates condo in Mequon, Iris and Bill moved to Mequon's beautiful ''Newcastle Place" in 2009. Their years there were filled with many memorable activities, and the great pleasure of developing many interesting, inspiring, and compatible new friends.

Iris will live forever in our hearts!
