Cheryll Jeanine Moling was born to Dorothy and Walter Moling on May 7th 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up with three brothers, Russel, Jim and Pete. The family made their home in Madison, WI. She married Frederick Glasgow and three daughters and a son came into this world from that union. The Glasgow family settled in Beaver Dam, WI. Cheryll loved raising and nurturing her 4 children, involving them in many activities and always putting them front and center. She was a very good and generous Mother. Eventually a life change led her to meet Ron, they were married for over 30 years. Their life together was a journey of love and commitment which included every member of the two families. Many miles were put on the car to visit, celebrate and enjoy family and friends. Cheryll was a wife, Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She made countless friends along the way, leaving a legacy of kindness generosity, acceptance and most importantly, Love. Her children are a testament to this. Her strong Christian faith and love for Jesus guided her through life. She enjoyed Church, live theater, and was involved in BDCT. She was creative, loved music and enjoyed reading novels. Her kitchen was frequently busy, baking cookies and casseroles and pies for friends, family and events. She loved traditions. Life also included traveling stateside and abroad. Past family history was also important to her. As a result, she lovingly compiled family history in scrapbook form for each of her children. She titled it “All in the family”. Her talents and interests were broad. Cheryll’s greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, loving each one equally. Her love for children was evident. Cheryll and Ron always made time for each family as they grew which kept them on the go. She was lovingly known as Tutu (grandma) by all the grands. We were all blessed to be a part of her loving spirit. Cheryll always made a difference by seeing the positive in people and by setting an example. She lived her life joyfully. As a gifted party planner, many themed family parties took place celebrating the bond between her children and the grandchildren. A party was never complete without Cheryll’s infamous orange fluff or the Christmas birthday cake she made to celebrate Jesus’s birthday. These events leave us with fond and loving family memories. Cheryll loved the phrase “Life is good”. Cheryll and Ron then moved to Waukesha to be closer to family. This was a leap of faith forged with new challenges, which was not easy, but she ultimately loved her new community and settled in. This move also led her to continue her faith journey at Peace Lutheran church in Sussex, WI. As a part of her Christian journey, Cheryll took part in instruction for confirmation and membership class. She loved every minute of being a part of this new congregation. She truly found Peace in her church community. Cheryll’s Legacy will live on through her family and all of the individuals she has graced with her presence. She was a warm light to all and will be remembered by all the beauty that lies within our earth, the sun, a warm breeze, and all the life that surrounds us. She is loved so deeply by her children and our loss is immeasurable. May God keep us all close as we move forward in life without her here, but forever in our hearts. Live stream link
