Douglas A. (Doug) Strong passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Schrage). Loving father of Anna and Katrina. Cherished brother of Gregory (Judy), Jeffrey (Connie), Jody and Scott Strong. Dear brother-in-law of JoAnn (William) Kline, Karen (Cyril) Krueger and Sharon Sharon. Further survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, his 4 legged companion Nutty, other relatives and many friends, including his extended soccer family. 

Doug grew up in Milwaukee and spent a large portion of his childhood playing soccer for the Milwaukee Boy’s Club and the Bavarians with good friendships that have lasted throughout the years. He eventually transitioned his love of the sport into coaching local boys and girls high school and club teams. Doug had an immense passion for food and cooking as well. He loved hosting people at his home twice a year for the annual Fourth of July and Christmas Open House where he prepared food and got to enjoy the holidays with extended friends and family. Doug showed his love through cooking and will always be remembered for his fantastic recipes and menu curation for any and all events. Doug was known for being a man of few words and those few may have been sarcastic the majority of the time, but his love for the people around him was displayed through his acts of kindness, care, and especially his cooking.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 9 from 10AM until time of Memorial Service at 1PM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home – Menomonee Falls; N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Doug’s name to Pancreatic Cancer Research at the Medical College of Wisconsin are greatly appreciated.
