Germantown - Found peace on Aug. 9, 2021. Age 76 years. Loving husband of Jackie (nee Kern) for 54 years. Proud dad of Jeff Shebesta and Amy Ames and grandpa of Aurora and Aaron Ames. Dear brother of John (Ginny), Paul (Luciana), Warren, and Betty and brother-in-law of Ernie (Sharon) Kern and Kathyjean (Randy) Young. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Larry was born in Milwaukee, attended parochial school, most notably Saint Pius X, and continued to Marquette High School, graduation 1962. He was proud of his career as a plumber and member of Plumbers Local 75, even after his medical retirement in 2001.

Larry was a devoted dad and grandpa. He was always encouraging them to pursue their dreams, including the careers of his children: Jeff, airline pilot and Amy, a CPA.

Larry supported many organizations throughout his life, most recently the Friends of the Germantown Library and the Germantown Senior Center. He will be remembered for his witty sarcasm, amazing recuperative powers, and his love of Christmas.

Visitation for Larry will be held Mon. Aug. 16 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls from 1 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 3 PM.
