James Paul "Jim" Schiedemeyer
March 11, 1944 - May 25, 2021

Crossed the finish line on May 25, 2021 at the age of 77.  “Honeybun” to Lori for 55 years of marriage.  Loving father of the late Ken (Terri), and Kathy (Bob) Bonesho.  Loving Boppa/Papa of Kyle, Ben, Jacob, Nate, Lexy, Sarah and Sam.  Jim is also survived by his cherished sister Arlene (the late Richard), his brother Dan (Diane), and his sister-in-laws Jan and Diane.  Jim was proceeded in death by parents Marie and Arthur Schiedemeyer and adored siblings Bernice (Henry), Howard (Bernie), Alice (Bob), Butch (Edith), Art (Romell), Shirley (Jim), Kathy (Gene), Cyril and Ron.

Jim touched the lives of so many people in both his personal and professional life.

Jim retired from the Milwaukee Police Department in 1997 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Milwaukee Police Post 415, he also belonged to the American Legion. Jim also retired from the Army/National Guard in 1994 after serving our country for 27 years.

He enjoyed life to the fullest and always loved to have a good time and tell stories. He loved to play cards, golf, bowl and travel. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his retired military and police friends. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. There are countless family gatherings for holidays, Packer games (both at Lambeau and football parties at home) that were enjoyed with family and friends over the years. In Jim’s eyes, the more family and friends the better because then he had more stories to tell and more people to listen to them. He also loved spending time with his brothers and sisters…..all of the weddings, birthdays and baptisms. You name it and he was there! Being the youngest of 12 siblings, he learned many lessons over the years from all of them. He honestly just loved life and loved all of us.

Jim’s family would like to especially thank Dr. Nirav Patel and his assistant Heidi for all of their care and support. We will be forever thankful.

We will all miss Jim and his stories so very much.
