Born on September 22, 1971, Mikey Capati attended Saint Rita’s Catholic school for his elementary and middle schooling years. He served as an altar boy during this time. Mikey then attended Dominican high school, where he was on the wrestling team and was a beloved friend to everyone.  After graduating high school, Mikey attended UWM, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in social welfare, in 1999.

Mikey had a keen interest in playing rugby, which started when he was in college. He actively played on the UWM team, as well as with several local rugby clubs.

Mikey joined the US Navy reserve in 1999, and he also began studying at the police academy, from which he graduated in 2001. He then began his career as a dedicated police officer for the Milwaukee Police Department. Mikey loved to travel, and this sense of wanderlust let him to apply for a position with American Airlines. He began as a ramp agent in 2013, and was then promoted to his current position as a grounds operations instructor, and he absolutely loved this job.

However, the role which he cherished the most, was that of being a devoted coach. Mikey coached high school wrestling teams, as well as high school and college rugby teams for six memorable years.

His dedication to being a respected coach kept bringing him back to Milwaukee to continue coaching, mentoring and supporting his loyal players. Throughout his life, Mikey had that sparkle, that elusive knack that always made everyone in the room feel special and adored. Wherever he was, Mikey was forever laughing, smiling, joking and telling amazing stories.

Mikey was, and will forever be, that unique and incredible sparkling human being who will be remembered in our hearts and souls.
