Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Ted was born in 1926 in South Milwaukee to Pearl (Thompson) and Irving Levenhagen.  He was one of eight children. He was raised at Greenfield Park where his father was Custodian.  The park was a private place for Ted and his siblings where they could play golf and swim when they wanted.

Ted enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1944 and participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima. After the service he attended the University of La Crosse where he played golf and football, earning him the title of Little All American.  He was placed on the Wall of Fame in La Crosse and the Hall of Fame in Stevens Point.

After graduating from La Crosse he worked at Miller Brewing Company in International Sales, traveling much of the Far East.  After leaving Miller he formed WOW Distributing Company with a partner.  It later became Beer Capitol. Ted was an active member at North Hills Country Club, Third Marine Division, The Parenting Network, Lombardi Golf Classic, and Christ King Parish.

Ted is survived by his wife Jean of 61 years, daughters Lori (Mike) Reidy, Lynn (Tom) Kerwin, son Bill (Lori), and grandchildren Meghan (Matt Spannknebel) Reidy, Sarah (Brian) Kasica, Rachel and Alec Kerwin, Bill and Paige Levenhagen, and great granddaughters London and Eloise Spannknebel. Ted is further survived by his sister Mary Geldien of WY, his brother Patrick (Jill) Levenhagen, and sister in law Rita Levenhagen and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Christ King Parish, 2604 N. Swan Blvd. in Wauwatosa. Private burial at St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery in Elm Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ King Parish, The Parenting Network, or Evans Scholarship
