Passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the age of 73. Loving father of Jamie (Amy) Schwalbe and Christy (Dan) McCalla. Proud grandpa of Pierce, Dash, Hannah, Ryan, and Lexi. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Jim was born on December 7, 1943 in Milwaukee to Harvey and Helen Schwalbe and resided in Wisconsin for his entire life. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1964 and served until his honorable discharge in March of 1968. Jim proudly served during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement during combat operations as a forward air controller. After serving his country with great distinction in Vietnam, Jim entered a lengthy career in industrial sales, culminating with the ownership of J.E. Schwalbe & Associates. His true love started in 1991…coaching high school football at Sussex Hamilton High School. For 15 years, Jim coached the Freshman and Sophomore teams. Coaching and teaching the game were his passions, along with throwing the football on 3rd & short.

Coach Schwabs will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and former players.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 14 at the FUNERAL HOME from 4PM until Military Honors and Time of Sharing at 6PM.
