Diane J. Lewitch (nee Stoltenburg) How do we say let go of someone who touched so many lives?  Someone who showed her love by sewing doll clothes through the years for daughters of friends and relatives, or by never missing a Christmas making peanut brittle for many close to her heart and dog biscuits for just about every dog she knew (and every dog knew she had them!).  She was always available to lend a hand when needed, help someone through a challenging time, or to serve at her church. Everyone knew her for her German potato salad, for which a recipe doesn’t exist. 

Diane was called Home on October 4th at the young age of 74.  She was the loving wife for 45 years of the late Carl Lewitch. Dear and loving mom of Sheryl Levitsch.  Further survived by her siblings, Phyllis Hulstein, Harlan Stoltenburg and Bruce Stoltenburg. Also survived by nephews Christopher Hulstein, Aaron Hulstein, Jason Stoltenburg, and Sam Stoltenburg; niece Michelle Hulstein; and great-niece Nevaeh Smith.  Diane is survived by her special friend and traveling companion, Larry Arnold, who touched her life and made her laugh.  Special friend of Chelsey, Brianna, Drew, Eric, Kayla, Kelsey, Karissa and Kylie, who loved her as a grandmother.  She is also survived by many friends and relatives who meant the world to her.  Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Marguerite (Thoemke) Stoltenburg.

A special thank you is extended to the hospice staff at Kathy’s Place in West Bend for their compassionate care of Diane.

Visitation will be held on October 12, 2017 at Schmidt & Bartelt in Menomonee Falls from 5p.m until 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday October 13, 2017 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1350 Hwy 175, Hubertus from 9:30 a.m until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Private burial.
