Lionel H. Ames of Oconomowoc, passed away on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Lionel was born June 26, 1924 in West Allis to Cornelius and Theresa Ames. He married his wife Esther on June 9, 1951. Lionel was preceded in death by his wife Esther. Lionel was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his children; Susan Ames, Steven (Lagay) Ames, and Cheryl (Brian) Awe, He is further survived by his grandchildren Shelley Awe and Stephanie Awe. Lionel was a member of St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. Friends may visit on Saturday April 8, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service 11:00 am all at the Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St, Oconomowoc, WI. Final rest Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Memorials may be sent to AngelsGrace Hospice or St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church.
