With shock and sadness l recognized Johns name in the obituaries. If I am wrong, please accept my apologizes. I just talked to him after he returned from his vacation in Punta Cana and he happily told me all about his resort and what a good time they had. If this is the same John Rexroat my prayers and best wishes go out to the Rexroat family. His enthusiasm and kindness brightened my day and I am so glad he had a great memory. God bless him. So very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of getting to know your family when John helped when Vince was in scouts. I was proud to call him my friend. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

I send my condolences to Linda and the Rexroat family. As a teenager, I learned from the great example of John Rexroat: he was easy to talk to, work with, and be around.
He didn't realize it, but he taught me work habits that I still use. I even remember how he would sign paperwork, holding a pen between his fingers in an unorthodox way. I wanted to emulate him.
It says a lot about a person and a family when, 30 years after working together, herds of people are remembering John so vividly, so fondly.
When I think of John, I remember his patience, his willingness to suffer fools gladly, and his easy way with all of us as teenagers. I will always be grateful for having known him.
I send my sympathies to all of you.
