Dear Family and Friends of Eileen. I would be remiss if I did not share what a wonderful person Eileen was to me. I had numerous meeting at Chapman Hall on the UWM campus and I tried to stop by and speak to her whenever possible. We shared so many stories about our careers and families. She always had something pleasant to say and I looked forward to seeing her outside of the Provost's office.

She will be missed, but not forgotten. In the short time that I was acquainted with her, I can say I met another kindred spirit. May she rest in peace.

Ruth

I wanted to let you know how much Eileen meant to me. I relocated to UWM only a few years ago and Eileen was one of my very favorite people on campus. One day when my daughter was visiting me we stopped to say hello to Eileen and as we both left my daughter said, "she's a really really nice person." Of course I agreed. Those may not be the fanciest words but in the midst of change and worry about budgets and other details, Eileen always focused on people and the way everyone contributes something to the whole. We talked about languages and our daughters and how everything that seems hard is something you can get through if you stay positive and focused. Eileen was someone who made us all better in ways we will carry with us forever. Peace and prayers to you at this difficult time.

Words can’t even begin to express how Eileen will be missed. Eileen was such a beautiful person and I enjoyed working with her. I really enjoyed our talks about visiting Japan and South Korea. I still plan to visit those places and when I do I will have Eileen in my heart right there with me. RIP Eileen. God only has the best and that she is -- the best!!

It is numbing to hear about Eileen passing away. My sympathy and thoughts are with her family. I will miss the playful banter with Eileen when I would get coffee-she scrupulously "guarded" the coffee. I admire her dedication to learning Korean for her trip. Eileen was very easy to talk with on a variety of subjects, and she was quick witted. It was apparent that she loved her daughter and husband very much. Eileen would often talk about light- hearted moments she experienced at home. I will miss her at work. I am so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Eileen, we fondly called her Bean, for a number of years and I can honestly say I have not worked with anyone like her since. And that is a compliment of the highest form! Bean is a one of a kind. Her smile couldn't brighten the world around her in a flash. She was and is loved by all who were fortunate enough to be her friend. I will miss you Bean but I know I will see you on the other side some day. Until that day, rest in peace of comfort my darling Bean. Love and Hugs to you from me.
