Pufahl, Werner P.

Longtime resident of Whitefish Bay. Entered into Eternal Life peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2013, one day shy of his 85th birthday. Beloved husband for 47 years of the late Mary Ann (nee Walsh) Loving father of Catherine Starr, Anne Pufahl, Ellen (Charles) Rolen and Elizabeth Henricks. Proud grandfather of Tommy, Luke, Joe and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Rita McCann. Further survived by other loving relatives and friends. 

Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, October 3 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. and again on Friday, October 4 from 9:30 – 10:15 AM with the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at ST. MONICA CATHOLIC CHURCH; 5601 North Santa Monica Blvd in Whitefish Bay. Interment to follow at Town of Milwaukee Union Cemetery in Glendale.

If desired, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association of SE Wisconsin suggested. 

Werner graduated with a Master’s Degree from Marquette University. He spent most of his career working as the director of the Milwaukee County School of Nursing. He also worked for Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home for many years. We will remember him most for his love of music. Werner shared his musical talents throughout his life playing at weddings, church services and earned a spot in the Milwaukee Pops Orchestra and Milwaukee Symphony. Now, he gets his chance to play with the classical greats.
