You won't recognize my name, but Derek was a good friend of my son's, Jeff Peshek, and I had the pleasure of meeting Derek many times. Losing a child is incomprehensible, and my heart goes out to his parents. Know that you raised a son to be very proud of. I am grateful he was among my son's best friends...he was a good, caring man. My deepest sympathy also goes to his sister, other relatives, friends, and of course Kelly and little Damian. I regret that I cannot make it to the service, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I wish you comfort in the memories of Derek that will always be yours.
