Lloyd Edgar Dragert Sr. was born on February 22, 1943 passed away on May 10, 2012, at the age of 69, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was born in Waukesha and grew up in Jefferson. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. On July 3, 1965 he married Bonnie (Reinke) Dragert in Delavan, WI. He resided in Mukwonago for the last 45 years and was a machinist for Waukesha Engine for 37 years before he retired in 2003. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed shooting sporting clays with his best friend Rollie Hunkins. He also enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and was known as the family driver of the "Sandpiper" to and from horse shows.
Lloyd will be deeply missed by his wife Bonnie of 46 years, children Lloyd Jr. (Beth) and Deb Deuster, grandchildren Amanda Sawejka (Jason Katzman), Leah Dragert, Lauren Dragert, and Morgan Deuster, one brother, Paul (Katie), one sister Bev Hoskins and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Esther Dragert and brother-in-law Larry Hoskins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 13, from 4 to 7 PM at the Funeral Home and on Monday, May 14, from 9 AM until the time of funeral service at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Oak Knoll Cemetery.
In accordance to Lloyd's wishes, the family would like everyone to dress casual for the visitation and funeral.
