In loving memory of Greg Norman Hoeffleur

Greg passed away peacefully after a day surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the age of 74.

Beloved soulmate and devoted husband of Jolene Hoeffleur. Loving son of the late Norman and Carol Hoeffleur. Cherished brother of Jacques Hoeffleur and his sister-in-law, Dora.  Adored father of Nicole Hoeffleur and Louis.  Greg also warmly embraced the role of father figure to Ashley Retter and John, Lawrence J. Robe III and Mitul, and Jamison Robe. Dearest and loving uncle to Kathryn Hoeffleur. Survived by his beloved Uncle Chuck Goonrey and with the memory of Aunt Mary Goonrey whom together provided a lifetime of love, wisdom, and wonderful guidance along with his cousin Jennifer and Mark Forsberg and their children, Skylar and Ashton. Further survived by many treasured friends who became such an important part of his life.

Born in Flint, Michigan, Greg’s journey through life took him from Michigan to Arlington Heights, Switzerland, Chicago, Niles, Detroit, Wauwatosa, and West Allis. Each chapter helped shape him into an extraordinary person.

Greg was a man of remarkable character, deep thought, and a creative mind. His career was highlighted by a series of entrepreneurial ventures culminating in his most recent manuscript. His relationship with the hot rod world and sports cars gave him personal thrills and fun connections to like-minded friends.

A person who lived his life boldly with intellect and creativity throughout his life's path. He had a kind and gentle heart. Greg was thoughtful, generous with his wisdom, and always willing to offer guidance, encouragement, or a helping hand to those who needed him.

Greg cherished the friendships he made throughout his life. Whether sharing adventures, laughter, stories, or meaningful conversations, he valued the connections. His friends enriched his life in countless ways, just as he enriched their lives. His wisdom will continue to guide us, his spirit will continue to inspire us, and his memory will forever live in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.

Full celebration of life details will be forthcoming.
