In Loving Memory of Patrick Phillips
Patrick “Pat” Phillips, 74, passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will be treasured by his family and all who knew him.
Patrick shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Kathleen “Kathy” Phillips. In addition to Kathleen, he is survived by their three children and seven grandchildren - Beth (Paul) Koester with Katelyn, Erika and Jenna; Julie (Jay) Parnau with Mason, (Brianna), Connor and Audrey; and Jim (Laura) Phillips with Parker. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Marianne (Mike) Neumann and Holly (Dave) Forchette, and brother Tom Phillips. Pat was also a long-time loved son-in-law and brother-in-law of the Herdeman family.
Together Pat and Kathy built a life centered on love, family, and making memories along the way. Their years together were a testament to a lasting commitment and a love that will continue to live on through the family they created. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, Patrick was a man who always held his family close to his heart. His first great-grandchild is expected any day now, a bittersweet reminder that even as his family grieves his loss, a new generation is about to begin. Though he will not be here to meet this precious little one, his love and legacy will live on through the generations that follow.
Patrick was known for his humor, kindness, and strong work ethic. He brought laughter into any room and made the people around him feel special. He worked hard, cared deeply, and showed his love through the life he built and the people he cherished most. His family will forever remember his sense of humor, his generous heart, and the countless moments that made him who he was.
One of Patrick’s greatest passions was cars. Whether he was fixing them, carefully polishing his beloved 1972 Nova, or watching his son and grandson compete at the races, cars were a special part of his life. More than just a hobby, it was an opportunity to spend time doing what he loved and sharing that passion with his family. The memories made around the garage, his Nova, and the racetrack will remain treasured reminders of the man he was and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures.
Two other things Pat was very proud of were his years of service with the New Berlin Fire Department as an EMT, Lieutenant and then Captain. Last were his golden retrievers; he had several throughout his years, and all of them loved him as much as he loved them. Ginger and Mickey will miss him so very much.
Patrick leaves a legacy that cannot be measured in years alone, but in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, the hard work he put into his life, and the family who will carry his memory forward. Though his absence will be deeply felt, the stories, traditions, and memories he leaves behind will bring comfort and smiles for years to come.
As his family says goodbye, they do so with broken hearts but with gratitude for the 74 years they were blessed to have him. He will be missed more than words can express, but he will never be forgotten.

A loving husband, a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and soon to be a great-grandfather.
