Margot Eva Smith, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 86.

 Born on April 21, 1940 in Trier, Germany, Margot carried with her a spirit of resilience and grace throughout her life. She eventually made her home in Milwaukee, where she built a life defined by hard work, faith, and family. She pursued her education at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee earning a degree in Business Management and went on to a distinguished career as a Financial Advisor. In her career, she brought a thoughtful and steady presence that reflected the care she extended in every area of her life.

Quiet and reserved, Margot loved to read and enjoyed classical music, particularly the works of Mozart. She also enjoyed visiting with family and playing cards with friends. Generous of heart, Margot gave faithfully to charities and found purpose in supporting those in need. Her kindness was not merely spoken but lived, expressed in countless acts of compassion.

A devout Christian, she was a longtime and faithful member of St. Anthony Parish, where her devotion and steadfast faith were a source of strength throughout her life. She lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and charity, offering comfort and hope to others in the tradition of her faith.

Margot was united in marriage to John R. Smith, her beloved husband and lifelong companion, until his passing in 2022. Their shared love and partnership formed the foundation of a life well-lived.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lakewood Memory Care and Brighton Hospice for their compassionate support, comfort, and care during Margot's final days.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 10th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, N74W13604 Appleton Ave, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Margot's grace, faith, and quiet devotion will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. May she rest in the eternal peace she so faithfully sought, held forever in the loving arms of her Lord.
