of Germantown was born to eternal life on August 31, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on April 14, 1942, in Kirchlengen, Germany, to Wilhelm Hagemeier Sr. and Maria (Zitzer) Hagemeier. On December 30, 1972, he was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Dorothy, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Together they were blessed with twin sons, Eric (Heidi) and Kevin (Kristin). He was a loving and proud grandpa of Wesley, Gaby, Reed, Bennett, and Cailin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Guenter attended Sheboygan North High School and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and was a longtime member of the Spielmannszug Milwaukee Drum and Bugle Corps, with whom he performed at many Holiday Folk Fairs and marched in numerous parades. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, Bears and Brewers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hagemeier; his mother, Maria Hagemeier; his father, Wilhelm Hagemeier Sr.; his brother, Wilhelm Hagemeier Jr. (Eugenia); his father-in-law, Victor Franzen (Margaret); his brothers-in-law, Mike Heins (Joanne) and Dennis Franzen; and his sisters-in-law, Helen Franzen and Doris Franzen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Schmidt & Bartelt (N84W17937 Menomonee Avenue, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) from 4:30 pm until the time of service at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Good Shepherd Catholic Church and the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin.
