Timothy John Roberts “Tim” of Powers Lake, Wisconsin, formerly of Barrington, Illinois, passed away on August 1st, 2026, surrounded by family. Tim was preceded in death by his father, John Roberts. He was a beloved husband of 36 years to Lori (Tolin) Roberts, loving father of Chloe (Kevin Leparski) Roberts and proud grandfather of Clark, cherished son of Judith (Ramaker) Roberts, dear brother of Jenny (Glen) Slonac, loving uncle of Lauren, Kaitlin, and Alli Slonac, and David Tolin.

His greatest joy was always his family. He was a dedicated husband, a proud father & father-in-law, and an adoring grandfather whose love, guidance, and unwavering support were evident in everything he did. Tim embraced life with unmatched energy and curiosity. He found great joy in sharing his passions with family and friends.

Tim had an extraordinary appreciation for car racing, travel, exceptional food, and creating unforgettable experiences. Whether discovering outstanding restaurants locally or around the globe, planning adventures, or hosting legendary gatherings, he had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. His infectious enthusiasm, ability to make every occasion feel special and his generous heart created memories that will be forever treasured.

Above all, Tim believed life was meant to be lived to its fullest, and he encouraged everyone around him to dream bigger, laugh louder, and never settle for ordinary. He often said, “you may not always win, but never give up,” a philosophy he embodied throughout his life. His legacy lives on through his family and the friendships he cherished. Tim and his family extend a special and heartfelt thank you to nurses Hannah, Stephanie and Kelsey for their care, love, and support.  He will be deeply missed everyday and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held at Barrington Hills Country Club in Barrington, Illinois, on Sunday, September 27th, 2026 from 1:00-3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tim’s name to the American Cancer Society.
