Beverly Bajorek, age 91, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Azura Assisted Living in Mukwonago, Wisconsin.
Born on September 6, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Beverly was the cherished daughter of Frank and Cecilia Heksel (nee Kallas). On June 11, 1955, she married the love of her life, Edward Bajorek, in Milwaukee, beginning a marriage built on love, devotion, and shared adventures.
Beverly was a woman of remarkable talent, unwavering kindness, and quiet strength. She was first and foremost a dedicated wife, loving mother, and devoted Catholic, creating a home filled with warmth, creativity, and care. She raised her family in Wind Lake while building a successful career as a property manager, spending many years at Piccadilly Apartments in Greenfield, where she earned the respect and friendship of countless residents and colleagues.
In 1993, Beverly and Ed fulfilled a longtime dream when they retired to Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Their home on the shores of Lake Nokomis became a place of peace, beauty, and treasured memories. Beverly poured her heart into cultivating vibrant flower gardens that reflected her artistic spirit. She found endless joy watching the birds that visited her yard, especially the hummingbirds whose delicate beauty never failed to bring a smile to her face.
A gifted artist, Beverly expressed herself through many creative pursuits. She loved quilting, crafting, and taking on new projects, but watercolor painting held a special place in her heart. Her paintings were beautifully executed, capturing the beauty of the world around her with remarkable grace and attention to detail. Her creativity touched every aspect of her life and left lasting keepsakes for those fortunate enough to receive one.
Retirement also brought Beverly many treasured friendships. Through the Red Hats, her quilting group, the parish family at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk, the Fort Walton Beach community in Florida where they spent many winters, and the Regency in New Berlin where she spent the last several years, she built lifelong relationships filled with laughter, faith, and companionship. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued, and her joyous spirit and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Beverly’s legacy is one of love, creativity, perseverance, and quiet generosity. Whether nurturing her family, tending her gardens, creating works of art, or sharing time with dear friends, she lived a life rich in purpose and gratitude. She will be remembered not only for the beauty she created with her hands, but for the love she shared so freely with those around her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Beverly is survived by her children Denise (Dennis) Dockter of Waukesha, John (Mary) Bajorek of Rochester, Frank (Nancy) Bajorek of Mukwonago, and Paul (Shelly) Bajorek of Mukwonago. Also left to cherish her memory are eight grandchildren, Kristin (Tony) Staniak, Charlotte (Mike) Wrzesinski, Nicholas (Dana) Dockter, Lauren (Alan) Waupoose, Angelique (Jakub) Kalinowski, John (Kyla) Bajorek, Ben (Bailey) Bajorek, and Gabrielle (Jake) Sadler; granddaughter-in-law, Leah; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband Edward, Beverly was preceded in death by her infant son, Edward; her brother, Roland Heksel; and her grandson, Gered Bajorek.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 14 from 10AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. James The Less Catholic Church in Mukwonago (830 E. Veterans Way). Fr. Jordan will officiate. Entombment will be at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Milwaukee.
