Grandma of Katrina Schwarz (Roman Pobaruyev), Christopher Schwarz, Joseph (Heather) Schwarz, Lindsey Schwarz, Aspen Flora, Ryan Schwarz, Bryan (Cassie) Schwarz, Brianne Schwarz (Anthony Baures), Alexandra Schwarz, Nicole Youngblut, Brandon (Alyssa) Schwarz, Austin (Chloe) Schwarz, Carter (Madison) Schwarz, Hunter Schwarz, Susie (Shawn) Becker, Anthony Benishek, Jacob Cooper, and Zeke Cooper (Ashley Gruling). Loving Great-grandmother of 18 precious great-grandchildren.
Ruth was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1933. She married her beloved husband Charles in 1955 and together they moved to Milwaukee in 1958. In the years that followed, they raised their family together which would grow to include 5 sons and 2 daughters and eventually 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She will be remembered as a model of unconditional love whose gentle spirit and calming voice brought comfort through life's greatest challenges. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, with an open door and a meal always ready for anyone who stopped by. Nothing brought her greater joy than her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She spent countless hours babysitting, creating treasured memories, and making sure their favorite ice cream was always waiting in the freezer. Her homemade cookies became legendary among family and friends, and she rarely missed an opportunity to cheer from the sidelines as her children participated in athletics and school activities. As a devoted Den Mother, she generously shared her time and encouragement with young people in her community. An avid racquetball player and bowler, she remained on the same bowling team for more than fifty years, forming lifelong friendships along the way. She also faithfully volunteered at the St. Anthony fish fries, always eager to lend a helping hand. She had a spirited love of driving fast that never failed to bring a smile to those who knew her. In her final years, she faced declining health with remarkable grace and found a deep sense of peace, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, kindness, generosity, and cherished memories that will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be at St. Anthony Cathoic Church in Menomonee Falls (N74W13604 Appleton Ave) on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10am until 11:45am. Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. She will be laid to rest following Mass at St. Anthony Cemetery. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association are appreciated.
