Karsten Lehmann, born October 19, 1939, passed away on July 27, 2026, in Dundee Florida. 

Born in Arnswalde, Germany and moved to the USA in 1956 at the age of 17.  He joined the Army and served proudly. He lived and worked in the Milwaukee area.  Karsten became a millwright and machinist.  He could repair or build anything.  His accomplishments include too many things to list them all. There were multiple structures, but he was most proud of the one that was hurricane proof.  Some of his other cool accomplishments are a log splitter, a generator, a gas pump and anything that you can think of to make any job easier.  It was like an art form for him to create something to assist in his projects and he always declined to build another when asked.  Satisfaction came in building it once and then moving on to some new challenge. 

He was a person of few words, but his words conveyed gentle kindness, intelligence, and patience. He was kind to everyone and never showed hate or anger.  And he played a mean game of cribbage. 

In 2004 he and his wife moved to Winter Haven, Florida.  He was done with shoveling snow and wanted to use his pontoon on the chain of lakes. 

In 2025 they moved to Dundee to the house he chose and loved so they could be in a place where they could walk and enjoy the lake trails and shopping throughout the area.  He loved his Pedometer App and was focused on getting his daily steps until recently when he couldn’t any longer. 

Karsten is survived by his beloved wife Char of almost 62 years and his children: Scott, Karla (Julia), Ingrid and his beloved furry friends Bobcat and Jake the Chihuahua.  Further survived by his sister Marlis Pihl and nephews Mark and Mathew Glaze.  Also survived by his sister-in-law Sher (the late Rick) Lustig and niece Bekah (Josh) Lustig.

Karsten will travel to Spring Hill Cemetery for burial.  There will be no services at his request.
