Charles Anthony Schmidt, age 72, of Sussex, WI, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Sarah (nee Springborn). Loving dad of Carl (Jennifer) Schmidt and Laurie (Andrew) Schaefer. Proud Pop-Pop of Colton and Reese. Charles is also survived by his mother Marilyn Terzes, his brother Ron Schmidt, sister-in-law Mary Childress, cousins Jack (Holly) Barthomai and Sr. Joyce Kemp, and his best friend David (Donna) Schroeder. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Charles loved the outdoors; he loved to fish and hunt, but he loved his family most of all.
