Moe, Claire N. (nee Nell)

Found peace on July 13, 2026 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of David for 66 years. Best mom of Brian Moe, Pam (Timothy) Wiroll and Vickie (Michael) Lorbecke. Proud grandma of Tony (Ann) Knutson, Nicole (fiancé Taylor Hahn) Knutson and Randy (Liz) Knutson. Special great-grandma of Charlotte “Charlie” Knutson. Preceded in death by her parents George and Mabel Nell, her brother George F. Nell and her twin sister Carol M. Cook.

Claire was a mom to many, including her children’s friends. She was a highly social people-person and laughed all the time. She cared deeply for people, and her thoughtfulness was shown in many ways. She loved giving cards, baking cookies and brownies, and bargain shopping. Claire was the nurse at Sussex Hamilton High School for many years. She was a volunteer and long-time member of The Friends of the Library. We will all miss her dearly.

Visitation will be Saturday July 18, 2026 at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, N59 W22476 Silver Spring Dr. in Sussex, from 10am until 11:45am. A Memorial Service will be at 12pm.
